Refund policy

What You Can and Can’t Return

We do not accept returns on Legere reeds, breath builders, opened boxes of cane reeds, books, notation paper, CDs, any consumable products that have been used, or any products with damage, wear, tear, or missing parts (including the original packaging). TB Winds reserves the right to refuse a return if there is damage* to the product(s) and/or packaging. TB Winds reserves the right to decide whether a product has damage, wear, tear, or missing parts upon arrival. TB Winds staff will inspect products immediately prior to shipping to ensure that the products are correct and in perfect condition.  

*Damage includes but is not limited to: teeth marks on mouthpieces (including teeth marks on mouthpiece patches that come with all mouthpieces), scratches or chips on mouthpieces, stains, dents, scuff marks, rips, blemishes, etc. 

*When playing mouthpieces, use a ligature that will not scratch or damage the mouthpiece.  Scratched mouthpieces are non-refundable. 

 

Restocking Fee

There will be a 10% cleaning/restocking fee on all returns. 

 

How do I make a return?

For returns, please email tony@tbwinds.com within 10 days of the shipment date to receive a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number. 

To receive your refund, the item(s) must be received by TB Winds within 10 days after issuance of the RMA number. 

Refund requests made outside of these timeline parameters will not be considered. 

Example timeline: 

  • TB Winds ships products to customer on August 1.
  • Customer contacts TB Winds to receive RMA number by August 11.
  • TB Winds provides customer with RMA number on August 12. 
  • TB Winds receives return from customer by August 23.  

 

Shipping

Original shipping costs are nonrefundable and the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. 

The customer is responsible for the merchandise until it safely reaches our location. Include the return merchandise authorization (RMA) number written on the return address label.  Please include your full name and invoice number either on the outside of the box, or on a note included inside your package. 

TB Winds will send you a return label after you notify us that you wish to make a return.

There will be an additional 10% restocking fee (for a total of 20%) if shipping instructions are not followed.

Refund Money

Please allow two weeks for processing a return. Your money will be credited back to the original credit card/payment method used for the purchase.  

 

Incorrect Items

If you have received an incorrect item, please call us within 48 hours of receipt for specific instructions. We apologize for any inconvenience. 

International Orders

Unfortunately, due to complications with import/export rules and fees, and the high cost of international shipping, we do not accept returns on any international orders.
